Hi,
I would like to install a horizontal electric windlass, attached to the bulkhead separating the anchor locker and the forward cabin on my 1992 Sun Way 29. My biggest concern is, if this bulkhead is strong enough to take the strain even after being reinforced with some plate from the cabin side to spread the pressure on a wider area.
Any hints / suggestions / experiences and recommendations will be very appreciated.
Thanks

Gratned this is a pic of a SO34.2 windlass install, it should work for just about any Jeanneau or other style boat with an anchor compartment like it. Editor: Original post lost, but here is an install for a 30i www.jeanneau-owners.com/hintsandtips/30ielectricwindlass.htmlI can picture doing this in my Arcadia, which is an older version model of your boat. The person whom did this, if still a member might be a good place to start. Marty

Hi Marty, thanks for your input. In the meantime I actually found a picture on the web of another Sun Way 29 with a similar installation. So I've decided to go-ahead and install it using some extra precaution by reinforcing the bulkhead from the cabin end. Thanks Et
