After 14 hours Wildflower 2 is doing well, 4th in PHS.
Seems that a light windward race is suiting her.

24 hrs in now and they have slipped a little to 8th, but still doing well considering some of the competition in PHS Must confess to being a little jealous, at this time of year in the southern Hemisphere, heading north is a good thing, particularly if you are doing all the feeder races to Hamilton Island RW! But this race is looking to be a long slow one.

Is there another race to further north after this one you can enter as the next stage to Hamilton Island?
I think that when they were 4th they were doing 6.7 knots and the latest 1.2. They've dropped back to 2nd last in line honours. A real mixed bag of speeds with a couple of mid placed entrants matching WOIX's speed and others almost not moving. Conditions that if you are cruising in makes yo want to use the iron sail.

Ok, I just found this feeder race for Hamilton www.brisbanetokeppel.com/ and I see Wildflower 2 is entered. They are also entered into Hamilton Island race week as well. A lot more Jeanneau's are entered there.

There is quite a big Sunsail (or similar charter co.) fleet in the Whitsundays and they all usually get hired out for the Hamilton Island Race week, hence a lot of Jeanneaus

The largest numbers of Jeanneaus are in the cruising class and I would imagine that the charter boats would be in the Non-Spinnaker Class. It's also a mixed list of Jeanneaus so there probably are lot of cruisers doing it.
Bad news it seems
Wildflower 2 - retired - time constraints
Perhaps they didn't arrange enough leave from work and had to start motoring.

Hi Lee, a great result. Were you up there for any of the races?

After Hamilton Island Race Week the boats headed for Magnetic Island Race Week. The Jeanneau charter fleet were not in evidence around the Whitsundays until all those events concluded, so it's highly likely they were used for racing as petermc suggests.
