A friend of mine uses when boat is out of the water - once a year : Hempel Prop Clear
and Sex Wax surf wax on top and reapply the wax every 3 months underwater when active sailing his prop looks like out of the factory ! nice and shine always... has anyone in the forum experience with pop antifouiling ? any suggestion ?

Hi Vasko, I have tried a few different things on my previous boats I tried the lanolin type stuff like prop guard which worked OK for a month or two but eventually wore off, I for the last few years have used sea jet triple pack on the shaft and prop and seems to have worked the longest and usually does me for the season. Its a twin pack epoxy with a undercoat which is tacky and allows the anti foul layer to stick. I still open to ideas but this is the best I have found to date. Its such a shame to cover a nice shiny prop with paint but for me it keeps my speed up for longer. www.force4.co.uk/seajet-triple-pack-m.html#.VY_9MKYUkRkIan

Vasco ,
it doesn't work , I've tried it once , some years ago , with the real for that purpose designated stuff . After one season half of it was gone. A waste of time and money .

Is there a product called "prop speed" in Europe? From Oz IRC. A lot of BIG power boats, ie 100-300' of personal nature are having it applied at a local yard that many come in for service. Not cheap. For props our size a 500ml maybe a 250 will do the trick.
