The first owner of my 39DS bought some Harken parts to convert the Genoa track to allow it to be adjusted from the cockpit. I believe this may be the setup on the performance version. Does anyone have pictures of how this can be installed ? I'm particularly interested in how the line is routed back to the cockpit.
Thanks

There are two different boats that have done this HERE. Probably the general how you will have to do this on your boat. There may be some slight differences in that your deck/cabin sides etc may be different than the SO32 and Arcadia(my boat] that are shown. These two hint articles should give you a general idea. i for the most part followed what was on a C&C and J-boat I had raced on to do my setup. Along with Harken has some general drawn pictures of how too's also on their website. If you do this yourself, take pics, and show us how you routed your lines etc. with some description, turn into Malcolm to add to this area. Marty

I put the Harken single blocks with fiddle on the forward end of the T-track of our prior boat, a SO34.2, using the sheave in the Amiot fairlead car to achieve a decent purchase. The line ran from the fiddle collar at aft end of the block, back to the car and through the sheave, then forward to the block's sheave and then back to the cockpit, where I installed cam cleats in the coaming's side to hold that line (imperfectly, but good enough). I put a Garhauer system on Voyageur, our SO40. Bigger, stronger, better suited for a boat of her size. My only gripe is that the SO40 T-track doesn't go far enough aft to get a good sheeting angle on our new 135, higher-clewed genny, when close-hauled. Another winter layup project, perhaps?
