Just left Schengjin and a few thoughts. First the Thompson guide is dead wrong. 777 as of 2014 is up to date and correct. OH your chartplotter is also probably wrong. The harbor has been totally dredged and breakwaters extended.
We did a med mooring using our own anchor on a new dock they have that is designed for ferrys and tied close to a ladder for an easy on and off. Security is great. The town is not very big but has a huge beach and lots of rest. bars ect. We got free wifi at a couple of rest. along with some really good food and the wine is wonderful. We were here last year and a lot of improvements have been made and more are coming.

As you approach call harbormaster or port captain and do not expect and answer. We called many times from about 1.5nm out and never got an answer but after clearing the breakwater there were 2 people motioning us in and helped us tie up. One was the agent, Frrok Frroku and the other an immigration officer. After tie up we went to a small café for a cup of coffee and paper work that took maybe 30 minutes. Very efficient.
You also have to check out for your next port even in Albania but once checked in you can stop enroute with no issues.
Provisions are good with any food you need. There are no facilities on the dock but then the harbor is new so things take time.
We wanted to go to Shkodra that is perhaps the oldest city in Europe and Frrok arranged a quick trip for us.
