I'm thinking of upgrading from my present Ranger Tug R-25 to a MF 855 (87). I understand a new model is coming out with air conditioning an onboard water cooled generator to power it at anchor - essential in South Florida in August.
Is it possible to take delivery at the factory (France?), travel around a bit, and have them ship her here to the US?
Anyone looked at the new Lean Burn Suzuki 300 as a power for her? Thanks.

Not sure where the MF 855 is built but if in one of the main French factories will be quite inland (might also be built in Poland?) so if you want to use in the Atlantic will need to be commissioned at one of their coastal dealers. Suggest you speak to Jeanneau America in Annapolis MD - (410) 280-9400

I bought a 2016 MF 855 offshore last fall and commissioned it this month. A complete pleasure. Two Yamaha LF200 engines. I have found I do not need a generator since I upgraded the batteries to Lithium and installed a solar panel.

I had a good look at it. Finished up getting a 795 instead because it was big enough for me. But if i was going more offshore or wanted to sleep more than 2 adults then I'd definitely go for the 855. It's a beautiful boat. Well designed, well thought out. I've got the Yamaha F200 and can't fault it, so two of those on the back should go very nicely. Plenty of space, comfortable and solid, you can't go too far wrong with it.

I also looked at the MF855. Very nice boat but I ended up purchasing a new MF795, which I'm supposed to take delivery this week. Very excited although I can say the sales and purchase experience has been a nightmare. I'm hoping the boat itself makes up for it.

My sales experience also a nightmare, the boat does make up for it though. Have put 200 hrs on my 795 and it's living up to expectations.

Is it possible (more like probable since the similarities are uncanny) that Quicksilver ( a Brunswick Company) is manufacturing the Merry Fisher line for Jeanneau?

We have at 2016 855 and just love it. It is a bare bones boat and you may have to add storage and electrical items to make it more comfortable. But we have 88 hours this year on it and love it. We use a Honda 2000 generator with the 30 amp boat plug and runs the entire boat including AC.

Love my 2017 Merry Fisher 855 offshore version boat. Have about 100 hours on it this summer. bow thruster really helps on windy days, the dual 200 hp yamahas turn the boat on the dime get on plane quickly. I Added the following: Garmin radar,Garmin 7610 chart plotter, 1900 watt Inverter, Aft enclosure, Remote spot light. I am in the process of making new bed mattress to replace original. The original too Firm and not comfortable. tried 3 inch memory foam on top and that helped but Making custom 5 in foam mattress for the master berth.

Hi all - thinking of purchasing a MF855 - anyone out there willing to share their experience of owning one of these? Any advice, tips and problems encountered would be very welcomed. Would you recommend this boat to a first time buyer of a motor boat? Hi there! We currently have a 2017 MF Marlin 855, off shore package. We love it! We took to Desolation Sound in 2017 and spent 9 blissful days on her. However, she is a utility boat designed for fishing. It was purchased as a crabbing boat/weekender. After using it primarily for cruising and not crabbing, we have decided that the 895 has a bit more of a usable lay out as far as space and accessories and is overall more suited for family style cruising. We are trading our 855 back into the dealer (Sundance in Blaine) and are ordering a 2019 895. She should be delivered in July. This will be my 3rd boat purchase from Sundance and Jason, the manager, is great to work with. I bought my first boat in 2016 as a BRAND NEW BOATER. I am 41yo female with very little boating experience and I can drive my 855 with confidence. So yes, I would rec this boat for first time buyers. The cons are no heater, and not a lot of sleeping accommodations for guests. It is pretty comfortable for 2 adults for several days but more than that could get crowded.
Cheers! Stacey
