Hi All
Does anyone know if Jeanneau sell a kit or a workaround to convert the main cabin table into a double berth.
The table has the velcro discs underneath to hold seat cushions in place. I'm thinking there must be something already available out there somewhere that uses the table upside-down. Any ideas or tips would be great.
Many thanks James

Not quite sure what you are looking to do. We covered our fixed table (SO42DS) to a double fold out design that when folded telescopes down to make a double bed. See the following link in Hint & Tips... Double Table Conversion

James,
On our 36i the table simply pops off of the pole that supports it. We drop a piece of plywood onto the seats and then we have a cushion that fills in the space. The table/plywood are stored on edge in the quarter berth when not in use. I can't take credit for any of this, the boat came to me like that. I'd be happy to get you some pics if you'd like.

Hi David, I'd very much like to see pictures. Our version of the 36i has a substantial, fixed, table mount and two leaves. Upside: supposedly holds four wine bottles. But it does take a lot of room in the saloon and makes a fairly narrow berth. Geoff

Hi David, some pictures would be really helpful. Many thanks James Hi James, Here are some pictures that show the transformation, it's painless. It sounds like the table on the 39i might be a bit more substantial. David

Hi David Useful pictures, thanks. Was the infill cushion specially made or is it from the port side upholstery? Andy

Hi David Useful pictures, thanks. Was the infill cushion specially made or is it from the port side upholstery? Andy Hi Andy, I can't say for sure because it was all there when I bought the boat. It's a separate cushion that is stored upright, outboard in the quarterberth. When the cushion is in use the table goes in that space. Looking at the upholstery I would say that the cushions were all done at the same time. I would think that having a new cushion made shouldn't be a problem, even if you don't match the upholstery. It spends 95% of its life out of sight. David

Thanks,David. Your right that a colour match isn't particularly important.

Your table sounds like mine and I'm able to use it as a double berth. The table is supported by two removable stanchions. We use the shorter stanchions to convert to a double berth, the longer ones (normal) when we use it as a table. ~Ed
