Thanks Geoff, I removed the standard three blade prop on my boat (17 x 13) and fitted a Seahawk Autostream feathering prop as the engine would not run at over 3200 rpm and I felt the engine was overloading. The feathering prop has increased pointing ability and boat speed under sail but has reduced speed under motor. I will be down at the boat today and will check my fuel consumption figures. Rob

Fuel consumption over a big slice of last season was about 1.8 L/h. This involved a lot of the short stuff - into and out of the marina, and several longer trips where engine speed was about2500 rpm.
