Not a chance of finding me voluntarily in a situation like that

Their not exactly the shark that you want to try diving with Now cage diving with a Great White is perhaps something I could get brave enough to try

I'll do a white shark cage dive. Put one in a cage and I'll dive in the same general vicinity

Zanshin -- If you are really headed to the Bahamas get a pole spear and snorkle gear and that is all you need. Oh shallow draft boat helps. We spent 2 winters in the Bahamas and had a great time. Great water, good anchorages but you do need to watch the weather closely as the fronts come in and you will need protection on occassion and sometimes it is hard to find. Oh there is also a lack of food on most of the islands so if you want to eat it take it. In the Bahamas spear guns are not allowed but you can eat quite a number of lobsters and fish with a pole spear.
As for shallow draft, well we use to draft 4'11" but now over 5'3" after adding a few things. But we had no real problems but had to really watch on occassion.

Zanshin -- ...Oh shallow draft boat helps... That takes my boat out, at over 8 1/2 feet I'm not getting close to the Bahamas. But this season I might sail down to Bonaire and dive there, hopefully with no close encounters with Selachimorpha!

Zanshin - 8 1/2' can make the Bahamas very interesting. If you plan on the San Blas let's take this discussion to the destination folder,
