Hello We purchased a new Jeanneau 469 last summer...I asked about the delivery and release certificate and our broker ensures us that he registered our boat with Jeanneau.
I would have assumed that Jeanneau would have sent us some type of official acknowledgment , for the warranty....
If there is anyone that has bought a new boat..,can you comment please

Just looked at our documents:
1) Detailed invoice with breakdown of all standard items and options with costs, all stamped & signed by the dealer 2) Builder's Certificate showing where it was built, hull details, engine details, dealer's name & address. Stamped by Jeanneau 3) Declaration of conformity for RCD (Recreational Craft Directive) Stamped by Jeanneau
Each of the above states the Hull Id number and so we have proof when and where Jeanneau built the boat, that she meets RCD and was then sold to us. We did register her later for Part I and that also proves title to the boat (Hull No. specified there as well).
I'd imagine that you would also get the first three documents (perhaps missing RCD if you bought outside the EU).
I hope that this helps.
PS Might be useful to add location to your profile.

Hi Abbey I bought a new boat from Delphia a few years back and in addition to the papers listed by Mistroma I was issued a Guarantee Card on behalf the Manufacturer who had signed and dated with the Description of the boat and the hull ID number with a date of start of the the guarantee which the broker had also signed and stamped. This was issued to me on delivery of the boat from the broker and I had to sign also as lots of small print i.e. bits not covered, wear and tear etc.

Hi abbey,
Our delivery and release certificate was was bound into the front of the owners manual. It had been completed in triplicate inclining detailed inventory, we have one copy, one was sent to Jeanneau and one for the agent. We signed it off at the end of commissioning as part of handover procedure. We have some other documents similar to those mentioned by Mistroma carefully filed at home.

Presuming that you paid VAT you should triple check you have original VAT invoices for not only the main boat, but any deposit and additional major items. Will be required if you go anywhere in the EU and when you eventually sell the boat.
When we had our boat in 2008 we also had a log in for the Jeanneau main website, but if I recall it really just asked a feedback questionnaire
