Its time to replace my hot water tank in my 2003 43DS. Looks like a simple job although sods law says that the manufactures label that is pasted to the tank is only a couple of mm's away from the plywood locker side and unreadable. Anyway, I looked at the various C-Warm tanks and think model CWB40-V3 which the 40 litre version is the replacement. The measurements seems to fit the space.
Before I order it from the UK can anyone confirm that this is the correct tank. It would be a pain to ship it back.
Many Thanks.

How about taking the old one out first , check the make and type and order a new one . Shouldn' t take that long to have it sent to you. Saves you the risk of a wrong order.

Sometimes I find that I can get my phone camera into an awkward space much better than my head... might be worth trying to see if you can get a pic of the label

I had the same Model waterheater in my 2000 Sun Odyssey 45.2 which i replaced last year .Fairly straight forward job .You may need to replace hose clamps and cut the ends off the hoses if you have enough length.

The new hot water tank arrived last weekend. One quick question on installation. I could not see any way of closing off the cooling water feed from the engine. Does that mean it has to be drained as you remove the old tank?

not really drained, but at least get the hose off and fit some tap or something to prevent leaking you antifreeze temporary while changing the heater and you will need to add antifreeze to the engine after the change is done- and it is possible that you may get a air pocket after the change - it is very easy to judge just run the engine and if the water do not get really hot in sometime then the circulation is obstructed and you need to get the air out.. if you get to this the easiest way is to fit a temporary garden hose in to the in the entry of the water from the engine with 3 way extension and open the coolant expansion tank and open the tap water to get from the garden hose - the pressure from the garden hose will clean all air in its way... I had this problem and after sopending weeks trying to fix it a old guy told me the trick...
e.g. if you get to this point let me know and I will help you with detailed description and will take 10 min to fix

Does that mean it has to be drained as you remove the old tank? You will lose coolant but you could limit that by using locking pliers and some pieces of wood so you dont damage the hoses when you squeeze them. That' s exactly the reason why I ' ve installed valves in the circuit near the engine A bit dark . Also handy when you get a leak in the system (coil) But maybe this is a good time to replace the coolant , has to be done every few years you know. Regards
