Specifically, my Arcadia with the 7 gal tank just forward of the head in exterior sail compartment. Have any of you removed and replaced it?
It appears to have two "clips" that go below the tank, and are glassed over to hold the tank at the bottom, then the inside/port side is also glassed in. Does not look too hard to remove with a power wire brush. Glass appears to be one layer thick at best using a knife to cut some of this away.
Reason for this, it appears my tank is full of junk. One it might be easier to clean out of the boat, being as it is a whopping 7 gals/27 liters..... Or I can add some inches/centimeters here and there, and get myself up to around 11-12 gals, which at the end of the day, would about double my motor cruise distance assuming one always leaves say 3-5L or 1-2 gals at the bottom of the tank. This option may be as cheap or easy as having some one clean out the tank at the dock. More advantageous in that I have more fuel on board etc too.
Looks simple enough, is it?
I did not see anything in hints and tips. And most threads I have found, the tank is internal in a bunk, built in etc.

You might just consider getting a 3 gallon extractor pump. They are cylindrical and you pump up the top and they vacume out through a tube kind of like a shop vac. They are really made for oil, they cost under 100 usd, and you can wiggle the tube around the bottom of your tank and "extract" the bad stuff. Then just use a 5 gallon jerry jug for extra fuel. Sometimes a simple solution is the best.

Just my 2 cents.
