Hi,
There will be either two or three seacocks under the heads washbasin.
If two then both need to be open when the toilet is in use as the larger one is the outlet and the other smaller one is the water inlet.
If you have three then the middle one is the macerator discharge valve which should only be opened when the pump is running.
Keep closed at other times as it is possible for the holding tank to syphon water in as it is below sea level. The boat will not flood but you might notice foul smells from the vent pipe which exits on the starboard side forward of the windscreen and just under foredeck level.
The grey handle has two positions: which switch between sea discharge and holding tank.
Look at the front of the black plastic body of the valve on which the grey handle is mounted and you will find two silver arrows.
One of these will be covered up when the handle is in full clockwise position and one when in the anticlockwise position.
Whichever arrow you can see is the direction of flow from the toilet.
It is very easy to see which pipe goes from which arrow. The short pipe goes to the discharge and the long one to the holding tank.
Regards
Napoleon
