Oh Malcolm , if where able to buy this boat without inflicting financial punishment to myself I would surely delegate all my ideas. I think ? Would feel sad though , losing all those DIY projects. No harm in dreaming right , shows you're still alive. Regards

Was speaking to my broker today re: some preLaunch projects and jokingly asked him if he had any orders yet for the new Jeanneau64. He replied "just one; for next year." Going to someone in Chicago on Lake Michigan, which can of course accomodate the 7.2 foot shoal or 9.3 foot draft (I think those are the numbers). Bob Reed is the Jeanneau broker for the Western Great Lakes ("unsalted and shark free") and can never do enough to either introduce you to sailing or maintain your current boat and "keep it fun" as his website suggests: www.scsailboat.com. A true gentleman and great guy. Has to be a pretty nice commission on such a vessel.

Toby Hodges provides a review of the Jeanneau 64 after sailing hull #001 in 35 knots - Full review in the October 2014 edition of Yachting World. At around €1M with a good spec it is no surprise that already 13 have been ordered! See his initial review and excellent video at: www.yachtingworld.com/video/boat-tests/537269/1/jeanneau-64-video
