The all new Sun Fast 3600 will be officially launched at the Paris Boat Show (Salon Nautique de Paris)
Jeanneau Owners Network are delighted to be able to exclusively preview the first images of this exciting new design, again from the design board of Daniel Andrieu
The images give a tantalising idea of what may be expected - twin wheel or twin tiller options, rig optimised with fixed bowsprit for code zero headsails, semi fathead maximised roach mainsail, outboard shroud base.
Strong interest off plan is already being shown from competitors in the short handed Transquadra 2014/15 fleet.
The boat confirms a very welcome commitment by Jeanneau to continue its support of performance sailboats
The new SF3600 certainly seems to be living up to the high expectations. Skipper Luc Gelluseau has enjoyed a fantastic Spring Championship at La Trinité-sur-mer, France in Yolo his SF3600 and after three weekends and a day of racing the Sun Fast 3600 gained the events overall title in IRC class 2. Even the worst result that Yolo had was a 3rd place in the10 race series. Not bad at all for a new design against really stiff opposition in the 12 boat fleet that included the new A35 Caminade skippered by Giles Chenapan who was awarded second place overall. Jeanneau's Hervé Piveteau gives a more detailed tour of the SF3600, commentary is in French, but the video is very informative even if French is not your language - also there are some good downwind sailing shots towards the end of the film
