It looks fine to me too. As mentioned: the only "sign" I got are some leaky windows. Nothing else. But I fixed that problem. I also opened panels in the saloon celing- nothing.
Also the rig is ok.
I do not want to "fix" things if there are no signs of something been broken. For sure I can not see inside the wooden base but I unscrewed the bolts and they were not loose.
I'll keep an eye on that and one day I'll do the extra work: remove the mast, sort this base and I"ll change the bolts on the keel. One day:)
Love my DS.....

Hi Ales.
From your photos I think you have this issue too, albeit not as pronounced as some. I say this because the coach bolts are proud and there is a gap between the sole support and the bearer. On our boat, we didn't have cracking on or below deck and indeed I haven't seen this across several boats with this issue. And even though the top inch or so of the plywood underneath the grp was sound, it was thoroughly rotten lower down and was only going to get worse. How quickly yours would escalate is anyone's guess. That's why we decided to solve it once and for all.
Good luck.

Hi Freeflow. Fab woodwork and puts my own efforts in the shade. Also a good idea to add a little more wriggle room for the cabling. Thanks for posting.

Hi markevans, I totally agree with you. I do not think that I am so lucky and that I'll get away with so easy. Two things are bothering me: base mast problem, described here and keel bolts. As said, I'll do that the same time in the near future since it is a job that needs mast to be removed. I'll open a new topic regarding this problems (if there is no such one on this forum). It seems to me that it will be a expensive repair. Thanks

Is mast support problem common for all SO 43DS models before 2004? I am asking since I do own model y. 2002 for eleven years now. Yes, I had some windows leaking but I did not see any other signs as mentioned here... Here are some pics... yours looks pretty good. What about the lag bolts at the base plate? They are not drawn tight? Maybe back one out and see if there is moisture there. Or draw them down and see if they strip. At the very least I would pull those lag bolts and pour some epoxy down and reinsert the bolts to seal that up to avoid moisture intrusion. Your mast step deck plate look flush and not recessed. nice !
